Mandated Training for All New Hires

State Ethics Conflict of Interest (Mandated Training)

This 2024-2025 school year is an online state ethics Summary year

All Staff (this means everyone, new and returning, including teaching, administrative, and support staff) must complete the Summary of the Conflict of Interest Law.
New DS employees must complete both the Summary and the full Online Conflict of Interest Training
Public Employee Responsibility to Complete Conflict of Interest Law Requirements: The law places responsibility for acknowledging receipt of the summaries, and for completing the online training program, on the public employees. For an employee who is required to meet the training requirements, a willful failure or refusal to acknowledge receipt of a summary of the law or to complete the online training program will be considered by the State Ethics Commission to be a violation of the conflict of interest law and can be the basis of an enforcement action by the Commission against the employee. The Commission is authorized to impose a civil penalty of up to $10,000 for each violation of G.L. c. 268A, the conflict of interest law.
This year, the district has partnered with ArxEd for Mandated Training. Founded by educators, ArxEd is a Massachusetts-based company with more than 150 partner districts in Massachusetts. Their Mandated Training Suite streamlines the process and satisfies state and federal requirements. The training, designed for your convenience, can be completed in approximately one to two hours. It is mobile-friendly and allows you to complete it at your own pace and not necessarily in one sitting. Annual ArxEd Mandated Employment Training
