Welcome to the Guidance Department

The Chickering School Guidance Department staff consists of three mental health professionals. Guidance Counselors; Andrew McCorkle and Tawny Desjardins. Our School Psychologist is Kate Fleming. All serve as counselors to the children in the school community. In their capacity, they service children who require prevention, on-going support, and/or crisis intervention within the educational setting. An important aspect of this department is educating and supporting parents through workshops, outside resources and interesting opportunities.

As needed, the Guidance Department meets with parents and teachers to collaboratively address student concerns. Please feel free to contact us with any questions, concerns, or relevant information about your child.

Mental Health Resources

At Dover-Sherborn, we are committed to the mental health and well-being of all of our students. We present the following information and resources in addition to what we provide in school.  As always, while we are here to help and support our students, we encourage you to also speak with your pediatrician if you have concerns.

EMERGENCY SERVICE PROGRAMS (ESPs) are community-based agencies who provide 24/7 information, support and services to help individuals (or their families/friends) who are having a mental health or substance abuse crisis.
