Welcome to the Guidance Department
The Chickering School Guidance Department staff consists of two mental health professionals, Guidance Counselor Cynthia Shapiro and School Psychologist, Kate Marchese who serve as counselors to the children in the school community. In their capacity, they service children who require prevention, on-going support, and/or crisis intervention within the educational setting. An important aspect of this department is educating and supporting parents through workshops, outside resources and interesting opportunities.
As needed, the Guidance Department meets with parents and teachers to collaboratively address student concerns. Please feel free to contact us with any questions, concerns, or relevant information about your child.
