Dover-Sherborn High School provides an Athletic Trainer, Tanya Gallagher, for our student-athletes through Sports and Physical Therapy Associates in Wellesley, MA since 2007.
Tanya Gallagher is a 2004 graduate of Lasell College where she received her Bachelors in Science Degree in Athletic Training. She is a certified Athletic Trainer with the National Athletic Trainers Association- Board of Certifications (NATA-BOC), and is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Allied Health Professionals. Tanya’s concentration is in orthopedics, injury prevention and rehabilitation.
While attending Lasell, Tanya held internships with Brandeis College, Bentley College, Woburn High School, and MIT. Upon graduation she worked as a Resident Athletic Trainer at Bryant University from 2004-2005 with their football, men’s soccer, women’s basketball and men’s lacrosse teams. She was then hired at MIT as an assistant athletic trainer where she worked from 2005-2007. She primarily provided coverage of men’s soccer, men’s basketball, men’s lacrosse, wrestling, women’s hockey and football as well as secondary coverage of the other varsity sports. From 2007 to present Tanya is employed as a Staff Athletic Trainer by Sports and Physical Therapy Associates.
Tanya has also worked with the Girls USYS Region 1 Olympic Development Program and Boys U-14 National ID camps during the summer months.
