Private School Application Procedure
PLEASE ALLOW AT LEAST TWO WEEKS TO PROCESS APPLICATIONS.
(Applications with a February 1st deadline must be received by January 15th.)
If applying electronically or mailing:
- Send the necessary permissions and links for each school/site to the Administrative Assistant in the Guidance Department, Diane Morales, so that the transcript information can be submitted to the appropriate schools.
- Your child signs his/her name on all application forms.
- A signed information release form is submitted for each school your child is applying to.
If your application requires mailed materials:
- Make sure to provide an 8x11 stamped envelope for each school your child is applying to.
The most recent report card will be included in your child’s transcript to each private school. Any additional report cards will be submitted upon request by the private school. If the child will be attending a private school in the next academic year the final report card will be sent to that school.
Recommendation Forms:
- A “Brag Sheet” is very helpful in completing the recommendation form.
- Hand deliver or email directly to the guidance counselor and/or teachers(encourage your student to speak directly to their teachers and note that the teacher does need a substantial amount of time to complete recommendation letters for individual students).
- You may send it along with the application forms or email it to your student's counselor, Ms. Moore or Ms. Sobin.
Please remind your student that in asking for a recommendation, he/she is asking teachers to do extra work so a thank you is always appreciated.
In order to accurately schedule students for the upcoming year, please notify us, by June 1st, of your child’s academic plan for the next school year.
