Private School Application Procedure
PLEASE ALLOW AT LEAST TWO WEEKS TO PROCESS APPLICATIONS.
(Applications with a February 1st deadline must be received by January 15th.)
Please make sure your child signs his/her name on all application forms.
Please make sure that a signed information release form is submitted for each school your child is applying to.
Recommendation forms to be completed by the guidance counselors should be hand delivered to the guidance office or sent electronically to the counselor's email address.
Recommendation forms to be completed by teachers should be delivered (either by hand or email link) directly to each respective teacher. Please encourage your child to speak directly to their teacher and note that the teacher does need a substantial amount of time to complete recommendation letters for individual students.
Please remind your student that in asking for a recommendation, he/she is asking teachers to do extra work so a thank you is always appreciated.
If the application is being completed electronically please make sure that the necessary permissions and links for each site are sent to the administrative assistant in the guidance department so that the transcript information can be submitted to the appropriate persons.
If your application process requires mailed materials, please provide an 8x11 stamped envelope for each school your child is applying to. If the application is being completed electronically you can disregard this step.
The most recent report card will be included in your child’s transcript to each private school. Any additional report cards will be submitted upon request by the private school. If the child will be attending a private school in the next academic year the final report card will be send to that school.
In order to accurately schedule students for the upcoming year, please notify us, by June 1st, of your child’s academic plan for the next school year.
