MS. WOODWARD AND MRS. WYNER WELCOME YOU TO THE LIBRARY!
HERE ARE SOME GUIDELINES TO KEEP IN MIND:

ABOUT BORROWING BOOKS:

  • Books go out for three weeks.
  • Magazines, newspapers, and reference books cannot be borrowed.
  • We don’t charge any overdue fines.
  • Return books by leaving them on the circulation desk.
  • Take good care of the books, and don’t lose them!

ABOUT USING THE LIBRARY:
  • You may use the library before school - we open at 7:15 AM, and after school on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (until 3:15). Please speak to the librarian during the day if you plan on coming after school.
  • You may come to the library with a pass from your teacher during the school day (from class or from 8th period help session).
  • Please pick up after yourself and put away any materials you used..
  • Always come with a pass! Always leave with a pass!

USING THE COMPUTERS

  • Please use the computers for schoolwork only; save chat, email, surfing, and games for home.
  • Please observe the quiet rule in the computer area
  • Log off the computer when you are finished.
 
CONSERVE OUR RESOURCES!
  • Don’t waste paper!
  • Only hit the print button ONCE on the computer – if your print job doesn’t come out, try to figure out the problem; if you can’t figure it out, ask a librarian.

LIBRARY RULES:		  
  • Please do not eat or drink in the library.
  
  •  Please come to the library with something to do.
  • The comfy chairs are for Silent Reading only. Take pencil and paper work to a table

SPECIAL PROGRAMS:

  • You may sign up to be a library aide.
  • You may join the Newbery Club.
  • Be on the lookout for special library contests!


USING THE LIBRARY
AFTER SCHOOL

  • Sign in by 2:25. If you come after 2:25, you must come with a pass from another teacher

  • Once you are in the library you must stay until you go to one of the following: 1) your bus 2) your music lesson or sports practice 3) pickup by a parent

  • Make sure you sign out when you leave, with the time and your destination

  • Plan to do something, like homework, reading, or research

  • No iPODS are allowed after school

  • Use the Quiet Reading Area for silent reading only

  • No more than four to a table; stay in your seat.

  • No eating or drinking.

  • Use the signout sheet for bathroom, drink, locker; ask if you need to go anywhere else.

  • Computers are for school work only, including First Class: no surfing, chat, or games.
