FirstClass Email and Conferencing Setup

 

FirstClass Email and Conferencing accounts are provided to all Faculty, Staff and Grade 6- 12 students in the Dover Sherborn School Districts.

 

FirstClass email can be accessed in two ways - with a web browser or the FirstClass client. The client offers more functionality. If you are planning to use your FirstClass account from home you are encouraged to follow the instructions below for setting up the client on your home PC or Mac.

If you are on the road and want to check your email you can use the web browser interface. It is not as effective as the client, but it works fairly well for checking your email. 

 

To access the web browser login type the following in any web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator):  http://mail.doversherborn.org/login

 

To install the FirstClass client in your home or office click on the link below:

If you are upgrading from an older client the settings will remain the same as before.  If this is the first time you have used the client on your computer, launch the program by clicking the FirstClass icon on your desktop.  

 

When you first launch the client it will not find a server. Click on the Advanced button and then select Setup. 

 

 

In the center of the screen is the word Server.  Enter in the following exactly as indicated here:  

mail.doversherborn.org  

Click Save and close the setup window. 

Click the FirstClass icon on your desktop. 

Enter your user ID and password and click the green arrow to Login.
