Welcome to SEPAC

SEPAC (Special Education Parent’s Advisory Council) is a group of parents who meet on a frequent basis, throughout the school year, to share experiences, listen to lectures, and plan for up-coming events. As we all know, raising a child with any type of learning difference has its challenges, but it is also amazing the positive effect they have on our families. This group supports one another both during the wonderful moments as well as the difficult ones.  Through our strong collaboration with the Special Education Department we are provided the opportunity to continually educate ourselves, and others, about children with learning differences and how to properly educate and parent them.

The SEPAC is interested in broadening its scope and building a collaborative group within the Dover Sherborn district. The goal would be to merge Pine Hill, Chickering and the Region into one cohesive group. By combining resources, the SEPAC could provide quality programs, information and assistance to all parents in the Dover Sherborn Community. Whether your child is on an IEP, 504 or might just need a little extra help, our group can lend you support and guidance. If you are a family that is concerned about your child but hasn’t started the process through special education, we can provide advice on how to navigate the process, as well as information about initial testing and what to expect at your first IEP meeting. If you would like to get involved or would simply like to be on our email list, please contact Page Kolligian at pkolligian@verizon.net.
