Advanced Computer Applications
This semester-long course is designed to build upon the skills learned
in the Introduction to Computer Applications course. Students will learn
advanced features of Microsoft Access and Microsoft FrontPage and learn
how to integrate the two to develop interactive, dynamic web sites.
Students will also learn how to build web pages using HTML and how to add DHTML. This course will culminate with an "Integrating Technology
Project" which will show the student's skills at integrating the various
applications learned.
Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to:
- Use advanced features in Microsoft Access and Microsoft FrontPage
- Build web pages using HTML and DHTML
- Create a web site using Microsoft FrontPage
and HTML
- Conduct effective Internet research

add DHTML components to a web site (banner ad manager, search form)

effective web page form that includes: text boxes, area, drop- down boxes,
buttons, check boxes, option buttons,
hidden fields, set rules, a results page and a confirmation page
