The love of reading is one of the most precious gifts we can encourage in our children. We do this by sharing books we loved as children; by encountering new books together with our children; and modeling our own enjoyment of great books (children observing us reading).
The links, below, provide suggestions, by grade level, of books for your children to read themselves, picture books that ALL ages enjoy, and books to read-aloud to our children. As we all know, our children are unique individuals who develop in their own time. You may need to look at the books suggested on either side of your child’s grade to find the books that are 'Just Right' for him or her. |
